Manchester-born left winger who made over 200 Football League apprearances in a 15-year career, starting at Mansfield, and then taking in Newcastle United, Leicester, Coventry, Plymouth and Exeter. Mitten also enjoyed brief success in County Cricket, representing Leicestershire on a number of occasions. Perhaps most notably he is the son of former Manchester United winger and 'Bogota Bandit' Charlie Mitten, and he played under his father at both Mansfield and Newcastle.
