Tivvy got back to winning ways last night overcoming Yate Town in‚ what had become‚ an important match in which‚ losing would have put a lot of pressure on the club. As it was‚ Tivvy moved up the table to eleventh spot. Dominic Richardson - 3 minutes and Pete Varley 23 minutes had struck to put Tivvy 2 - 0 up before Yate´s Mark Madge had leveled the scores before the break.

In the second half‚ Steve Daly - 65 minutes - scored an absolute stunner‚ cooly placing the ball into the top left-hand corner from a Phil Everett cross‚ to put Tivvy back in front. And it was Steve Daly who made the game safe when he calmly converted from the penalty spot after Graham Waters had been brought down in the 88th minute.
