Tiverton Town continued with their revival and moved into a comfortable mid-table position with a thoroughly deserved victory against a limited Stourport side.

The only goal of the game finally arrived on the hour when Mark Saunders pounced to tap in a loose ball, and it was no more than the hosts deserved having dominated the game until that point.

Ian Sampson and Josh Searle both went close early on for the hosts, Paul Kendall missed with a near post header, and David Steele saw his effort cleared off the line by Dennis Pearce.

Tivvy continued to have the better of the game in the second half, and when Stourport goalkeeper Haydn Whitcombe could only parry as Michael Nardiello met Searle's perfect cross with a downward header Saunders was in place to gobble up the rebound.

The visitors threw men forward late in the game as they searched for an equaliser but the nearest the came was when Town debutant Aaron Dawson scuffed a clearance and Yellows 'keeper Chris Wright saved smartly.
