Tiverton Town 1 - 0 Winchester City

With all the feel and atmosphere of an end of season dead rubber, although home advantage in the play offs is still up for grabs, the Yellows laboured to a narrow victory thanks to Levi Landricombe's 33rd league goal of the season just before half time over an out of sorts Winchester City side who had only managed to pick up one point from their previous five matches. Two changes were forced on Tivvy: Owen Howe and Jamie Price beginning their suspensions for their dismissals last time out at Swindon, Tom Bath and eventual Man of the Match Teigan Rosenquest filling the voids.

With a place in the playoffs confirmed with the recent 2-2 draw at Swindon, there was a very relaxed atmosphere both on and off the pitch. Mike Landricombe's first half headers could have handed him his first Tivvy hat-trick, Jack Hannam finding himself in the right place to clear off the line, the second clattered an upright and his third drifted narrowly wide as Nick Hurst was continuously allowed to bomb forward and deliver telling crosses.

Winchester's top scorer Craig Feeney forced Joe Perry into a top drawer save and Joe Briggs' pace on the counter caused momentary panic in the Yellows backline before Tivvy took the lead. Another burst forward down the right from Hurst and his cross sat up invitingly for Levi to control on his chest and drill into the far corner with the aid of a slight deflection.

The second half whistled by without any real moments of concern for either defence or goalkeeper, and a valuable three points registered, and with Taunton and Salisbury also picking up wins a semi-final at Salisbury's Ray Mac stadium is looking likely, but with two matches still to play the final places and home advantage are still well up for grabs.

Tiverton Town: Joe Perry, Nick Hurst, Teigan Rosenquest (Jordan Walton 89), Ben Mammola, Steve Kingdon, Tom Gardner, Jamie Short, Michael Landricombe, Tom Bath (Ben Carter 86), Levi Landricombe, Scott Rogers.
Goal: Levi Landricombe 43
