The unofficial archives of Tiverton Town Football Club
Terry Lee | |
Inside-forward signed from Heavitree in 1964 who was part of what was probably the best Tiverton team to to date. It will never be known exactly how many matches Terry Lee played for Tivvy, but we know that over the three full seasons he spent with the club, a total of 116 games were played. So Lee's haul of 95 goals in that period is a remarkable feat, not least because he had the likes of Alec Collard, Ben White, Art Govier and Tony Burnett also helping themselves to plenty of goals. With such strength in attack, it is a wonder that Lee won just two honours at the club, both league titles, and was never a cup final winner with Tivvy. And it was rather sad that his departure came under somewhat acrimonious circumstances just four games into the 1967/68 season. Terry Lee passed away in September 2018. |
