This‚ as expected‚ was an easier workout for the players. To their credit Witheridge played some good football and worked extremely hard. Tivvy went in front after five minutes when Kevin Nancekivell tapped it after Richard Pears upset the defence. Pearsy then scored number two‚ heading in a Scott Rogers cross. In the 16th minute Pete Varley´s header off the bar was nodded home excellently well by Richard Pears for his second. Kevin Nancekivell then unselfishly set up Pete Varley after running clear for number four and a minute later Nance was unlucky with a lobb. Richard Pears nearly got his hat-trick when he nutmegged a defender only to see his curled shot well saved by Taylor in the Witheridge goal. Scott Rogers´ cross to the back post enabled Pete Varley to dummy the keeper to make it 5-0.
In the second half Pete could have got his hat-trick with a volley from Dave Leonards pull-back. Steve Ovens headed back across the goal only to see his effort blasted over the bar by Scott Rogers from three yards. Ten minutes later Scott made amends when following very good work from Russell Gee‚ Phil Everett whipped in a cross for Scott to nod past the ´keeper into the far post for what was the goal of the game.
Witheridge never gave up running and scored two well taken goals by Vellacott and Smith which sandwiched Tivvy´s seventh goal‚ a tap-in from Steve Ovens following some good interplay between Richard Pears and Ryan King.

Line up: Paul Edwards‚ Dominic Richardson‚ Luke Vinnicombe‚ Paul Tatterton‚ Stuart Smith‚ Scott Rogers‚ Kevin Nancekivell‚ Pete Varley‚ Richard Pears‚ Pete Conning‚ Dave Leonard‚ Neil Saunders‚ Phil Everett‚ Ryan King‚ Russell Jee‚ Steve Ovens.
