The penultimate pre-season friendly and first to be played away saw Tivvy get a bit of goal practise. However‚ the scoreline does not give an accurate indication of the game. Although Tivvy‚ as expected‚ dominated the game for long periods‚ Dawlish were well organised and made Tivvy work hard. Steve Daly got the first‚ a penalty‚ on 11 minutes. Shortly after‚ Phil Everett fired home following good work between Steve Ovens and Kevin Nancekivell. Then up popped Richard Hancocks for Dawlish‚ to head in from a Chris Slough cross to make it 2-1 at half time.
In the second half‚ it took until the 67th minute for Kevin Nancekivell to score following a Steve Ovens shot. Then three minutes later Steve Daly let loose a twenty yard flyer to make it 4-1 and then on 72 minutes Phil Everett got his second and Tivvy´s fifth after an excellent run from Steve Ovens.
Line up: Edwards‚ Vinnicombe‚ Blamey‚ Saunders‚ Tallon‚ Smith‚ Leonard‚ Rogers‚ Nancekivell‚ Richardson‚ Conning‚ Harvey‚ Ovens‚ Everett.
Not playing: Tatterton‚ Fallon‚ Smith‚ Tucker‚ Pears‚ Varley.
