Wednesday 15/09/1999   Southern League First Division
Nigel Davis

In Tivvy´s first competitive match under their new floodlights‚ Evesham won a game that was much closer than the scoreline suggests. Tivvy saw their unbeaten 24-match league and cup run ended by a late Evesham blitz. Evesham took the lead after 15 minutes with a long range effort which Paul Edwards watched roll into his net. From then on possesion was shared evenly‚ but Tivvy created the better chances and really should have been a goal up at half time. Four minutes into the second half‚ Kevin Nancekivell scored his fourth goal of the season. Steve Daly picked him out with a fine 40 yard pass and he beat the ´keeper to the ball before lobbing it into the empty net.Tivvy continued to waste good chanches and paid the price when Evesham scored three in the last 15 minutes to give the score an unfair reflection of the game.
