Tiverton scored twice in the final fifteen minutes to finally see off the dogged threat from Cinderford and move up to third in the table. Andy Taylor was ruled out through injury so David Steele started on the right side of midfield and Russell Jee returned to the team in the engine room, and it was Jee who broke the deadlock on twenty-four minutes when he was set up by Michael Nardiello and finished from just inside the area.

By that stage Cinderford might have considered themselves unlucky not to have been ahead as Lewis Sommers missed two good chances, Scott Wilson also spurned a great opportunity, and Tivvy goalkeeper Chris Wright pulled off a fine double-save to deny Geraint Bater and then Lee Smith in quick succession.

However, eventually the pressure from the home side told when Wilson converted Matt Barnes’ free kick from the right on the hour mark. Wilson and Sommers then both failed to find the net when well placed and Cinderford were made to pay for their profligacy when Jules Emati-Emati teed up fellow substitute Josh Searle to restore Tiverton’s lead.

And Emati-Emati added his own name to the scoresheet with a couple of minutes remaining when he slotted the ball past Cinderford ’keeper Lewis Pierre following good work in the build up from Max Bristow.
