Tiverton Town 2 - 3 Torquay United

Wednesday 15/07/2015   Friendly

Goals from debutant Andrew Neal and on trial winger Danny Smith were not quite enough to prevent the Yellows from falling to defeat in their first pre season friendly. Torquay were not taking this game lightly, evident from their line up and `rugged` approach. They were however behind as early as the 13th minute, Steve Kingdons knock down from a corner was bundled home by Neal.

Torquay responded quickly and were soon ahead as goals from James Hurst and Tyrone Marsh gave The Gulls a half time lead. An expertly taken free kick from winger Danny Smith just before the hour restored parity, only for a defensive mix up minutes later allowed Ashley Yeoman to race clear, round keeper Moore, and tap in to the unguarded net.
