Many match reports so far this season have waxed lyrical about Tivvy's number 10 Levi Landricombe and his goalscoring exploits. His latest brace either side of half time has taken him past the 30 League goal mark, the first player since Phil Everett before the turn of the century to achieve that feat, and more importantly three vital points against play-off rivals Evesham United to all but seal their place in the end of season showdown for a place in next season's Premier Division.

The visitors, on the back of an impressive run of form, were on top early doors, Mark Magee had two great chances foiled by Joe Perry and Nick Hurst, and as is often the case in football such misses rarely go unpunished. A Perry punt up field was helped into the penalty area via the heads of Jamie Price and Owen Howe, Landricombe left with the simplest of finishes past veteran keeper Kevin Sawyer after United defender Matt Williams had completely missed his attempt at a clearance after only six minutes.

After their early scare, Tivvy smelled blood. The fact that their half time advantage was only one was only down to some inspired defending and goalkeeping from the visitors, Liam Harding's goal-line clearance stopped Price putting Tivvy two up inside ten minutes, and Sawyer guessed correctly to keep out Landricombe's penalty on 23, after captain Linden Dovey had dragged Owen Howe to the ground; any forward forages by the visitors were thwarted by the superbly marshalled defensive trio of Kingdon, Gardner and Mammola although Price was rather fortunate to survive a huge handball claim shortly before the interval.

Mammola was cautioned early in the second period as Evesham threatened to break away after Hurst had lost possession, an almost carbon copy of Tivvys second goal. A trademark burst forward from Jamie Short was illegaly stopped by United captain Dovey, who was cautioned, and the resulting free kick was curled spectacularly into the top corner from 25 yards by Landricombe. Further chances came and went for the Yellows to extend their lead, most notably when Price missed an open goal after Howe's scuffed effort came back off the post. Evesham finally registered when Williams fired home from close range after a corner had pinballed around the penalty area with 15 minutes remaining which cued some "squeaky bum time" in the final minutes but Tivvy held firm and registered another double over one of their nearest rivals at the top end of the table.
