Match report

Mangotsfield United 1 - 1 Tiverton Town

Saturday 29/10/2005   Southern League Premier Division

Just got back ‚ it was a question of two points lost rather than one point gained !

We had the chances again and did´nt put them away ‚ Prince scored from a defensive mix up between Croft & Gardener who failed to clear a long throw to the near post .

Milsom was replaced at halftime by Hambly with Ampadu moving into the defence again ‚ and whilst Hambly played very well ‚ the loss of Ampadu who was controlling everything from midfield our shape and effectivness to release good ball to Mudge & Pears went.
Mudgie created a great chance for Pears but from 3yds out he pulled his shot wide.

Mango´s brought on there substitute (15) Conrad Whitby a south african for his first match ‚ and his link up play with Prince started to cause us problems ‚ with Ovengloves making one flying save.

In the end a draw was probably a fair result ‚ but that is four games against Mangotsfield now ‚ and we have only beaten them once ‚ yet probably been the better side on every occassion ‚ but look where they are in the league.

Considering the changes we make for every game ‚ the team spirit and hard work is definately there ‚ just need that little bit of luck in front of goal

Davies excellent again today ‚ Hutchinson worked hard and took his goal well ‚ Boothy turning in to a top quality full back ‚ and the future is bright with the two lads Croft & Gardener ‚ Ovendale superb as always but we come to expect that of him‚ the two up front now that they will get to play with each other every week will only get better!

My MOM Ampadu captain led by example ‚ from two different positions again

Only disappointment today Chris Bale went missing in the second half ‚ not the player that was exciting us at the start of the season
