Unquestionably the most talented player to have progressed through the youth ranks at Tiverton, Owen made his senior debut at the age of sixteen and became the club’s youngest ever goalscorer when he netted against Exeter City in the semi-final of the Devon Cup in March 2011. Despite this impressive start to life amongst the first team at Ladysmead Owen spent most of the following season with the Reserves and Under 18s teams where he continued to score at an excellent rate, helping the Reserve side to the Devon & Exeter League Division Two title in their inaugural season.
In 2012 he was brought into the senior squad on a more permanent basis and scored five goals from nine starts at the beginning of the season before an ankle injury kept him sidelined for a couple of months. He thereafter stuggled to regain his place in the side, but his undoubted talent led to a switch to Southern League Premier outfit Bideford in the summer of 2013 where he was frequently amongst the goals once more. Howe then returned to Tiverton after a single season in North Devon.
Three further seaosns at Ladysmead followed, with Howe's goals helping Tivvy to promotion in 2017, before a nomadic period in which Howe turned out for Salisbury (two spells), Bristol Manor Farm (two spells), Weston-super-Mare, and Taunton. A third spell at Tiverton then began towards the end of 2021, and rather abruptly ended towards the start of 2022, Howe moving to Barnstaple Town after just five further appearances.
