Wrighty joined Tiverton from Witheridge in the summer of 2010 and he has since gone on to prove himself as one of the finest goalkeepers at Tivvy's level of football. Well known on the Devon non-League scene, he first came to the attention of Tiverton with a fine performance in a pre-season friendly whilst playing for Cullompton Rangers, but it wasn’t until Steve Book’s retirement two years later that he was brought to Ladysmead. Unfortunately he suffered a freak injury in only his third game for the club, fracturing his wrist in a game at Banbury United, and he was ruled out for much of the remainder of the season, although he did return to help the Yellows to the final of the Devon Cup.

Chris returned to the starting line-up on a more permanent basis early in the 2011/12 season and firmly secured the number one shirt. His return to the team coincided with the club rising up the league table and Tivvy conceded only one goal more than champions Bideford, with Wright the first regular Tiverton goalkeeper since 2001 to not concede more than a goal per game on average throughout the league season.

Wright was one of Tiverton's stand-out players the following season, but an influx of new players in the summer of 2013 saw him released and he then signed for league rivals Bridgwater Town. He stayed at Fairfax Park for just a few months before moving on to Exmouth Town where he helped them to a strong Penninsula League campaign, returning to Tiverton in June 2014 for a second spell at the club. Wright played one further season, and after making his 150th appearance for the Yellows early in the 2015/16 season he left the club again.
