The unofficial archives of Tiverton Town Football Club
Nicky Marker | |
03/05/1965 | |
Arguably Tiverton's most famous player, and claimed by manager Martyn Rogers to be his most influential siging for the club. Marker played for Plymouth Argyle and Sheffield United before joining Blackburn Rovers and being part of the squad that won the Premier League in 1995, although he did not make a league appearance that season. Injury curtailed his professional career and he joined Tiverton in 1999 following a brief spell with Cheltenham Town, scoring 20 times in 129 games for the Yellows, all from central defence. |
