The comprehensive history of Tiverton Town Football Club
Richard Pears | |
16/07/1976 | |
A former Exeter City youth player, Pears joined Tiverton in 1998 but his first season at the club saw him primarily used as a substitute. His introduction in the 1999 FA Vase final swung the game in Tiverton’s favour, but he was allowed to leave in 2004. Returned briefly 18 months later, scoring a hat-trick on his comeback against Northwood, and had a third spell with the club in 2010. Has thereafter entered into management, most notably with Exmouth Town who he guided to the Peninsula League championship in 2013/14. Pears returned to Tiverton in a coaching capacity in September 2015. |
